Wente Scout Reservation has a centralized Staff Village located across the lake on the south side of the dam. Staff Village is off-limits to all campers and is home to the camp staff for the entire summer. The camping area contains the residence of the Camp Director, the sleeping quarters for the camp cooks as well as all the sleeping quarters for the staff. 

Blast to the Past:

The original location of the Staff Village was on the hillside next to the Trading post. The site had approximately 12 tent platforms and was used from 1964 until the early 1990’s when camp staff was moved over to the family camp area across the lake.
